What to say about the above video? It has been doing the rounds in the ether and certainly has its charms. So it’s a little hammy, perhaps more than a little but so was Carl Sagan and that is, in part, why we loved him. He was a remarkable figure- so full of life and the wonder of life. I was forever changed by watching Cosmos (which can now be seen in its entirety on line) as a child. I watched the whole thing again a few years ago and have an entirely new set of images and emotions connected with it. Sagan would have been 75 yesterday, he died far too young in 1996. Thank you Carl, your out-stretched finger still points to the stars and we are all better for having known you.
